Château d’Yquem is a Premier Cru Supérieur Classé property in Sauternes, Bordeaux, renowned for producing sweet wines of unparalleled consistency, quality and near limitless capacity to age. Exacting standards and meticulous attention to detail mean that wine is not produced every year at Yquem and 1974 failed to produce of sufficient quality. The 1975 marked a remarkable return to form with perhaps one of the greatest releases of the decade.
