When Joseph Krug established the Champagne House bearing his name in 1843, his dream was to craft the very best Champagne he could offer, every single year, regardless of annual variations in climate. He went beyond all known boundaries of Champagne creation, founding a House where all Champagnes would be of the same level of distinction. Six generations of the Krug family have perpetuated this dream, enriching the founder’s vision and savoir faire. Each plot, through its wine, is treated as a single ingredient in Krug Champagnes. Year after year, Krug celebrates its craft by highlighting a new single ingredient in gastronomy. This year, they pay tribute to flowers.
We're delighted to welcome Jacqueline Kobald, Champagne Ambassador - Moët Hennessy UK and Alice Camponeschi – Brand Manager - Krug UK to lead us in a tasting of Krug Champagnes that honour this year's single ingredient.

From 1668 and for 47 years in the Abbey of Hautvillers, breaking all the rules and constraints, Dom Pierre Pérignon pushed the art of creation to a level of perfection never reached before in Champagne and devoted himself to "create the best wine in the world". Three centuries later, Dom Pérignon pursues this quest for perfection with its commitment to only create vintages. The ambition is to bear witness to each year, whatever the challenge may be and to choose the best grapes from any of the 17 Grands Crus, and the legendary Premier Cru of Hautvillers. Every vintage is made only with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. The wine expresses itself distinctly in different maturation time periods called “Plénitudes”. The first Plénitude (8 to 9 years of elaboration) reveals the harmony of the Vintage. The Plénitude 2 (15 to 20 years of elaboration) reveals the Second Life of Dom Pérignon. Each vintage is the result of a perfect balance between the signature of Dom Pérignon and the singularity of the year.
We're thrilled to welcome Alex Gamble from Moët Hennessy UK to lead us in a tasting of Dom Pérignon Champagnes, including two vintages of the rare P2.
