Champagne
From the Grand Houses of Épernay and Reims to the myriad small growers of the surrounding countryside, the winemakers of Champagne have been producing their iconic sparkling wine since the 19th century. Usually made with a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (but sometimes with a dash of a few other local grapes), Champagnes undergo a long journey from grape to glass sometimes maturing for over five years before release - the results range from elegant and ethereal to rich and complex, refreshing and zesty to food-friendly and weighty.
With a secondary fermentation method that has been replicated the world over, the name Champagne still conveys the crème de la crème of sparkling wine. Buy from our collection of the best Champagnes.
