AA Badenhorst Kelderblok Chenin Blanc 2022 is a medium-bodied, single-vineyard white wine from the Swartland region of South Africa. This single-site Chenin uses fruit sourced from small bushvines gropwing in deep decomposed granite soils nextdoor to Adi Badenhorst`s winery in Kalmonsfontein. “The 2022 Kelder Steen comes from the vineyard adjacent to the winery that tends to produce larger bunches. It has a lovely, slightly more exotic bouquet of Clementine, apricot, marmalade, and a touch of underlying beeswax. The palate is medium-bodied with a waxy texture and fine acidity. A more fruit-forward Chenin but with admirable tension on the finish.” Neal Martin , 2023
