Online Tasting - Syrah Around the World

A key component in the mighty blends of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côte-Rôtie and star of Australia's Barossa Valley, Syrah or Shiraz has found a home in nearly every wine region in the world, from the Limari Valley in Chile to the rolling vineyards of America's Pacific Northwest. 

Our very own Sherry Rose Stolar will present four fantastic Syrah from France, Australia, Spain and France discussing the history of this fascinating grape and the role is plays in some of the world's most iconic wines.

Guests will enjoy four wines, all served from half bottles. Torbreck The Struie Half 2012, Pago Garduna Abadia Retuerta 2015, Qupé Syrah 2015 and Côte-Rôtie Brune et Blonde Guigal 2015.

Fine Wines of the Rhône Valley

Rising in the Swiss Alps and with its mouth at the Mediterranean, the Rhône river and its valley is home to some of France's oldest and greatest vineyards. Appellations such as Côte-Rôtie and Châteauneuf-du-Pape are as distinguished as the great Grand Crus of Burgundy or the classed growths of Bordeaux

We'll be looking at four sub-regions of the Rhône and four of their most celebrated producers. Sherry Rose Stolar will guide guests through this fun and informative tasting and present one white wine and three reds - Condrieu Terrasses de l'Empire Domaine Georges Vernay 2018, Crozes-Hermitage Thalabert Jaboulet 2016, Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieux Telegraphe 2017 and Côte-Rôtie But de Mont Michel et Stephane Ogier 2010. All wines are presented in half bottles.

Online Tasting - Whisky Doesn't Always Mean Scotch!

Distilling world class whisky outside Scotland was once considered difficult at best and even impossible by some! Luckily for fans of a tasty dram, this has been proven wrong time and time again. Distillers in Japan have been producing fantastic single malts since the early 1900s while the USA and Ireland have their own tradition stretching back two centuries or more.

In this tasting, Tom Olive presents a whistle-stop tour of the new world of whisky presenting five different drams and discussing the production and history of each. Whiskies to be tasted are Michter's US 1. Bourbon (USA), Mackmyra Intelligens (Sweden), Mars Maltage Cosmo (Japan), Kavalan Single Malt (Taiwan) and Redbreast Lustau Edition (Ireland). All whiskies will be supplied in unbranded 20cl sample bottles.

This is set to be a horizon-broadening tasting for those who have yet to venture beyond the shores of Islay or escape the currents of Scapa Flow - Slàinte mhath!

Online Tasting - Wine and Chocolate with BRIK

BRIK have been making waves in the world of fine chocolate since they were founded in 2019. Beyond the plaudits they receive for the tastiness of their creations, the team have also been awarded trophies for their striking product design - eye candy indeed!

We are delighted to have BRIK co-founder Raffaella Baruzzo on hand to discuss the subtleties of their exquisite chocolate and explain their approach to making fine confectionery while each hand-picked pairing wine will be presented by our very own Sherry Rose-Stolar. We hope you can join us for is set to be a fantastic gastronomic experience!

Guests will enjoy three half bottles and two 75cl bottles. Each wine will be paired with one of BRIK's delectable creations.
