Bartolo Mascarello Barolo 2012 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Nebbiolo grapes in the Barolo appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. The 5-hectare estate of Bartolo Mascarello has an illustrious history in Piedmont and is one of the most revered producers in the region. They produce just one classically-styled Barolo which is an assemblage of their four estate vineyards in Cannubi, Rué, San Lorenzo and Rocche dell’Annunziata. Now under the direction of Maria-Theresa Mascarello, winemaking still remains incredibly traditional, with lengthy maceration, slow fermentation and extended maturation in large oak ‘botti’.
