Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano 1978 is a mature-vintage single-vineyard red wine produced from Nebbiolo grapes in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Produttori del Barbaresco was founded in 1958 by a group of 19 winegrowers . The co-op now boasts 50 members who cultivate about 100 hectares of vineyards. Production focuses on traditional winemaking practices. The wines are fermented in large oak casks and undergo extended maceration. Ageing takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels for an extended period. Produttori del Barbaresco produce nine single-vineyard riserva wines. Montestefano was the first single-vineyard site to be classified in Barbaresco. "Lively red. A great way to kick off the evening.
