Located within the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château Teyssier forms the core of the JCP Maltus Group, known for its diverse portfolio of labels from Bordeaux and California. British entrepreneur Jonathan Maltus OBE is also known for his single-vineyard wines such as Le Dôme, Les Astéries and Vieux Château Mazerat. Château Teyssier is traditionally crafted from a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc. The grapes undergo meticulous handpicking and sorting, first at the bunch level, and then after destemming, on a berry-by-berry basis. The fermentation occurs within stainless-steel tanks following a cold maceration process. Subsequently, the wines are aged in French oak barrels, with one-third of these barrels being new. The 2019 vintage is available here in half-bottles.
