Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Taking its name from the nearby picturesque town of Saint Émilion, this Right Bank appellation produces red wine only. Production is dominated by Merlot (60%), together with some Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. The appellation of Saint-Émilion Grand Cru covers the same geographical area as the Saint-Émilion appellation, but winemaking rules differ - with lower maximum yields and a longer minimum maturation time of 20 months required in this instance.
Explore the premium wines that this superb appellation has to offer: exuding marvellous intensity of fruit, structured by a refreshing seam of acidity and well-built tannins, the best examples show a superb propensity to age.
