Tormore Distillery – Pre-Release Series
A Speyside Icon, Reimagined
Built in 1959 as a beacon of modern Scotch whisky production, Tormore Distillery was the first new distillery of the 20th century. Designed with architectural flair and a strong sense of community, it has long been admired for its manicured gardens, iconic copper roofs, and the gentle, fruit-driven spirit it produces. Tormore was acquired by Elixir Distillers in 2022, with the team taking great care to restore the distillery’s founding ethos—placing flavour and craftsmanship at the centre of its revival.
Tormore’s spirit is defined by notes of pears, nectarines, walnuts, and a delicate richness developed through extended copper contact and high reflux distillation. The distillery’s fruit-forward character remains its soul, now showcased through two distinct pre-release ranges.
Blueprint: A Glimpse into the Future
The Blueprint series explores the core building blocks that will shape the next generation of Tormore single malts. Each small-batch release is matured in a different cask type—Cream Sherry, Bourbon Barrel, and Toasted Barrel—to reveal how these wood profiles influence the spirit’s signature stone fruit character. Bottled at 48% ABV and limited to just 1,500 bottles per expression, these are snapshots of what’s to come.
