Named after the Latin word for ‘golden key’, Clavis Orea is a relatively new Bordeaux producer situated in Saint-Émilion. Both co-founders, Franck Jugelmann and Lahcene Boutouba, hail from a hospitality background, which they consider a key factor in their development as winemakers. ‘A Cappella’ is a Merlot-dominant blend, with a smooth texture and notes of dark berries jam, liquorice and a touch of violet.
