Luigi Nervi Spanna 1964 is a mature red wine produced from Spanna (aka Nebbiolo) grapes in the Gattinara sub-region of Alto Piedmont, northern Italy. Founded in 1906, Cantina Nervi is the oldest winery in ??the Gattinara DOCG and is now owned by Roberto Conterno of the Giacomo Conterno winery. 1964 goes down as one of the finest of the second half of the 20th century. Expect complex, earthy, floral Nebbiolo aromatics, fine structure and mouthwatering acidity.
