Joaquin is a flagbearer for the incredible wines of Campania and particularly for the characterful local varieties that grow there, Fiano and Aglianico. I Viaggiatori is made from an early picking from their 200-year-old Taurasi vineyard, fermenting the grapes in stainless steel and maturing the wine in seasoned large oak barrels for one year. The result is an exceptionally bold but wonderfully refined expression of Aglianico, with beguilingly complex notes of rich black fruits, smoked Mediterranean herbs, anise, tobacco and tar.
