Sandro Fay Carteria Valtellina Superiore 2018 represents a single-vineyard expression of Nebbiolo sourced from Lombardy`s Valtellina Superiore DOCG. Locally referred to as Chiavennasca, the Nebbiolo from this northern Italian region showcases a light-to-medium body, intricate berry flavours, and vibrant acidity. Carefully crafted by winemaker Marco Fay, who honed his skills in Barolo, Agricola Fay`s Carteria Nebbiolo undergoes a 12-month aging process in 30hl and 500l oak barrels. Operating exclusively from his family`s terraced vineyards in and around the village of San Giacomo di Teglio, Marco Fay crafts distinct single-vineyard wines that place a strong emphasis on the Nebbiolo grape variety.
