Wine & Soul is a winemaking project established by husband-and-wife team Jorge Serôdio Borges and Sandra Tavares da Silva, both of whom are accomplished winemakers in the Douro region of Portugal. They founded Wine & Soul in 2001, with the goal of creating distinctive, high-quality wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Douro Valley. Pintas is one of their flagship wines, named after their Pointer dog. It is a red blend made primarily from traditional Douro grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca, and Tinta Cão, among others. The grapes for Pintas are sourced from a single, old vineyard in the Pinhão Valley with vines that are over 80 years old.
