Nino Negri is one of the largest and most renowned wine estates in the Valtellina region of Lombardy. Specializing in wines primarily crafted from Chiavennasca – the local name for Nebbiolo – the winery was established in 1897. It covers approximately 31 hectares of vineyards in the Valtellina Superiore DOCG zones, including Grumello, Inferno, Valgella, and Sasella, where this Riserva comes from. Expect notes of dried rose petals, leather, and hints of truffle, leading to a palate where well-integrated tannins support flavours of dried cherry, tobacco, and a lingering essence of forest floor.
