This is the second wine produced by Clos Fourtet, a Premier Grand Cru Classé estate situated in the Saint-Émilion appellation. In 2001 the property was acquired by the Cuvelier family, who also owns Château Poujeaux in Moulis-en-Médoc. The 2012 vintage is a blend composed of 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Expect notes of bright red cherries and purple flowers, with hints of bitter chocolate and oak.
