The 2019 La Croix Ducru Beaucaillou is matured for 12 months in 60% new oak. Interestingly, that Earl Grey tincture continues to define this very classically styled wine, enhancing the black fruit. Hints of ash emerge with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and plenty of graphite-infused black fruit that render this quite Pauillac in style. Impressively persistent on the tobacco-tinged finish. Leave this for 4–5 years in bottle just to smooth its edges. - Neil Martin
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 46% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, matured in 60% new oak for 12 months. Showcasing lovely black fruited character with liquorice and tobacco nuances. A wine that will continue to evolve in bottle, enjoy from 2028 onwards.
