Antoniolo Gattinara Riserva 2018 is a full-bodied red wine produced from old Nebbiolo vines planted on volcanic soil in the Gattinara appellation of Piedmont. The wine is aged for 36 months in 25-35hl Slavonian and French oak casks and one year in bottle before release. Located around one hour north of Barolo, Antoniolo was founded in 1948 and was the first producer in the DOCG of Gattinara to bottle cru wines. Expect ripe bramble and red cherry fruit with hints of rose petals, along with bright acidity and fine tannins.
