The Marcarini vineyards are exclusively planted with indigenous grape varieties that are born and bred in the Langhe hills. The Nebbiolo grapes for Barolo grow within the two celebrated, contiguous crus. Brunate and La Serra, which are close to the Marcarini house and winery. The Brunate 1996 has a deep, saturated ruby colour. The nose is filled with ripe strawberries and hints of vanilla. Full-bodied, the wine is marked by silky tannins and a long finish.
