Acquired by Veneto native Gianni Zonin in 1976, Barboursville Vineyards is now recognised as one of the flagship wineries in Virginia. This is a wonderfully characterful and vibrant wine produced from 93% Cabernet Franc and 7% Petit Verdot aged for 12-14 months in new and used French oak barriques. At its best when served with food, this would be delicious alongside slow-roasted shoulder of lamb.
