Doña Paula Altaluvia Cabernet Franc 2019 is a full-bodied red wine from the Gualtallary sub-region of Mendoza, Argentina. An impressive Cabernet Franc from high elevation (1,350m), this powerful red wine is a prime example of the soaring potential of this grape variety in Argentina. Producer note. "Fine and elegant due to the combination of spices and red fruit, adding authority and good balance. A wine of great typicity and firm tannins."
The 2019 Cabernet Franc Altaluvia was made with grapes from Gualtallary and aged for 16 months in used French barrels. A bright, garnet red in hue. The aromatic profile presents mild aromas of raspberry and blackcurrant with balsamic and oaky notes. Terse in the mouth with a little grip and juice, the finish is packed with fresh fruit. Could do with being a little more expressive.
