Situated in the picturesque town of Pitlochry, Blair Athol Distillery is a major contributor to the Bell`s Blend, one of the most popular blended whiskies in the UK. ‘Jam on Toast’ is an independent release from Wemyss Malts, the Scotch whisky makers owned by the family of the same name. Distilled in 1991, the spirit spent 30 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead and was bottled at 50.6% ABV. It offers rich fruit flavours, with a slightly savoury edge and a spicy finish. Only 237 bottles were produced.

Bottled by Douglas Laing & Co. as part of their XOP (XTra Old Particular) range, this is a 30-year-old single malt distilled at Glen Grant in 1991. The whisky was matured in a single refill hogshead for three decades, developing much of its current depth and complexity. There is plenty of black fruits on the nose, paired nicely with grassy notes. The palate includes a sweet layer of caramel custard and chocolate, balanced by fresh, zesty hints of lemon and orange. JA limited release of only 254 bottles.

The present Loch Lomond Distillery was established in 1964 and whisky production began in the following year. The business has changed hands several times and it now owned by the Asia-based Hillhouse Capital Group. This 30-year-old expression was matured in hand-picked American Oak barrels and finished in Oloroso sherry, adding additional layers of complexity to the finished product. Expect a green fruit character including lime, kiwi and gooseberries.

Founded in 1798, Highland Park is situated in Kirkwall, one of twenty islands that are part of the remote Orkney Islands. This 30-year-old expression was created from fewer than 20 casks laid down in 1989 and earlier years. It’s the result of a trio of different cask types, including ex-bourbon and first-fill sherry seasoned casks. Expect notes of citrus fruit, dark chocolate, soft caramel and spices.

The Macallan Fine and Rare Collection was launched in 2002 and represents the very best vintages and whiskies that Macallan has to offer, dating back to 1926. This exceptional example was distilled in 1973 and bottled in 2003 from a single second-fill, American oak Sherry butt (#6098).
