The 21-hectare von Hövel estate is run from a manor house in the village of Konz-Oberemmel that was completed in the 12th Century and initially served as an abbey retreat. The cellar is today as it was over 800 years ago, though the wines now produced by the von Kunow family are thoroughly modern in feel. This mature bottling of sweet Riesling from the Oberemmele Hütte vineyard was produced by Eberhard von Kunow, who has since passed over the reigns to his son, Max.
