Alvaro Castro is unquestionably considered one of the finest winemakers in the Dão, a region most notable for its wonderfully fresh and aromatic styles of wine. This is a deliciously smooth and elegant field blend of indigenous Portuguese varieties, exhibiting a core of quietly intense wild berry fruits, subtle mineral notions and a fine web of supple tannins. Though wonderful to drink now there is ample textural fibre and sufficient underlying complexity for this to age very well.
