The Passopisciaro winery sits at about around 1000m elevation on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. Passorosso is made from 100% local variety, Nerello Mascalese, blending several parcels of differing altitudes and soil types. 2016 was a cooler vintage and this is delightfully elegant and crisp with notes of wild berries, spice, tar and wild herbs.
