Currently owned by E. & J. Gallo, the Pahlmeyer Winery is well-known for crafting premium, highly sought-after wines that are characterized by their intensity, balance and elegance. The 2019 Proprietary Red is a Bordeaux-style blend made predominantly from Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller portions of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc. The blend composition may vary slightly from vintage to vintage. The wine is aged in French oak barrels, with a percentage of new oak, to add depth and complexity to the flavour profile.
