Leonetti Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

Leonetti Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve 2013 is a full-bodied, mature Cabernet Sauvignon blend from the Walla Walla sub-region (and AVA) of Washington State, USA. Founded in 1977 by Gary Figgins, Leonetti was the first winery to exist in Walla Walla. Figgins also planted Walla Walla`s first vineyards, planting Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling on his grandparents farm there in 1973. Leonetti set the early benchmark for red wines from Walla Walla and has managed to maintain that high standard for the past four decades. Its red wines are rich and powerful yet with great finesse, texture and purity. They also age extremely well. The Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is produced from a selection of the best barrels of Cabernet in each vintage. It is typically blended with small proportions of other red varieties from the estate. Ageing is in new and used French oak for 22-24 months. "This full-bodied, ripe, yet still elegant Cabernet (which checks in at 14.7% alcohol) has terrific purity, ripe, polished tannin and a great finish.
