Silver Oak Alexander Valley 1992

Silver Oak Alexander Valley 1992 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the Napa Valley of California. Since its first vintage in 1972, Silver Oak has established a reputation as one of California’s most renowned producers of Napa Cabernet. The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is matured for 24 months in new and used American oak barrels and a further 18 months in bottle before release. Producer note. "The 1992 Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a deep garnet hue with lots of saturation and depth of colour. Its aromas are quite fetching. Potpourri, new leather and chaparral fill the nose. The attack is denser than average but still refreshing when met by the perfumed mid-palate. Surprisingly rich, the finish shows great persistence of flavour, ample acidity and even some tactile grip of tannin left. Decanting recommended due to moderate sediment. Enjoy now through 2024."
