Le Pergole Torte 2016 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sangiovese grapes in the Tuscany region of central Italy. The international reputation of Montevertine`s Le Pergole Torte speaks for itself. 100% Sangiovese, the first vintage released was the 1977 and was the first 100% Sangiovese wine to be produced in the Radda in Chianti area. The grapes are carefully selected from Montevertine`s oldest vineyards, planted between 1968 and 1999. Aged for one year in Allier oak barriques and one year in Slavonian oak barrels. With its iconic artistic labelling by Alberto Manfredi, Le Pergole Torte is a truly legendary wine. "The 2016 Le Pergole Torte is magnificent, just as it was last year.
