Owned by the Beaumartin family since 1935, Château Laroque is a charming Grand Cru Classé estate situated in the Saint-Émilion appellation. The estate produces two wines that display very different characteristics, the flagship Château Laroque and a second cuvée, Les Tours de Laroque. This is the 2019 vintage of the Grand Vin, presented here in a compact half bottle format. The blend is composed of 97% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, hand-harvested from low-yielding vines. The wine reveals tantalising notes of cassis, wild blackberries, pepper and cornflower, complemented by hints of incense and vanilla.
