La Croix du Casse Half 2020

Owned by the Castéja family since 2005, Château la Croix du Casse is a Right Bank estate situated on the southern edge of the plateau of Pomerol. This release is their Grand Vin from the 2020 vintage, a blend of 94% Merlot and 6% Cabernet Franc, aged for 16 months in oak barrels [55% new]. The nose is ripe and generous, combining blackberries and blueberries, with some floral accents in the mix. On the palate, it is a medium-bodied wine, with fine tannins and a distinct thread of acidity. The finish is persistent and slightly mineral. Presented here in half-bottles.
