Based in Washington Estate, Gramercy Cellars is the brainchild of Master Sommelier Greg Harrington who founded the winery in 2005. It has strong influences from Bordeaux and the Rhône in both their approach to winemaking and the varietals used. The ‘Lower East’ from 2017 is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. A ripe but elegant red, combining red and black fruit, fresh herbs, tobacco and pencil shavings, with floral notes and hints of vanilla.
