Dictador`s impressive 2 Masters series involves collaborations with other heritage brands to produce innovative Colombian rums. In this instance, Dictador`s master blender Hernan Parra collaborated with Jérôme Cosson, cellar master for Château d`Arche, to complete the ageing of a vintage 1978 rum in Sauternes wine casks. On the nose, expect aromas of summer berry jam, white chocolate, hints of vanilla pipe tobacco, followed by fresh red apples, suede, and butterscotch. The palate combines notes of brown sugars, freshly ground lightly roasted coffee, followed by toffee and red summer fruits, with a hint of basil and anise.
