Domaine Robert Groffier Chambolle-Musigny Les Hauts Doix 2020 is a 1er Cru Burgundy Pinot Noir from the climat of Les Hauts Doix in the Côte de Nuits. Groffier is one of the leading producers in the Côte de Nuits, though still somewhat undervalued compared to some of the region`s more famous names. Over recent years, winemaker Nicolas Groffier has sought to reduce the amount of new oak used and prefers minimal racking of the domaine`s wines. Les Hauts Doix 2020 was fermented with 50% whole bunches and matured in 20% new wood. "A racy, energetic red, with violet, cherry, strawberry and stony mineral aromas and flavours framed by spicy oak elements. Despite its defining acidity, finesse and intensity, this ends with a dense, tannic finish." Wine Spectator, 2022
