Brunello di Montalcino Cerretalto Casanova di Neri 2001

HED1473 75cl 14.5%
Casanova di Neri Brunello di Montalcino Cerretalto 2001 is a mature-vintage Sangiovese red wine from the Montalcino region of Tuscany. Cerretalto is a superb Brunello di Montalcino produced by Casanova di Neri, which was founded in 1971. This is a rare opportunity to purchase the now sought-after 2001 vintage. "The nose of the wine was breathtaking with aromas of dark berries, aniseed, meat, and mint. It was full and soft with such beauty. The tannins were totally resolved now and caressed the palate. It lasted for minutes on the palate. It was phenomenal. It was decanted about two hours before serving." 100 points, James Suckling, 2016
