Fontanafredda Barolo Vigna Rosa 1996 is a mature-vintage, single-vineyard Barolo red wine from the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Fontanafredda was founded in the Langhe by the Royal Decree of Vittorio Emanuele II in 1858. Today Fontanafredda cultivates 120 hectares of organically farmed vineyards around Fontanafredda in Serralunga d`Alba. Rosa is the iconic vineyard of the estate, producing some of the most floral, elegant and finely structured Nebbiolos in the Barolo cru.
