Fratelli Alessandria is one of the most historic wine producers of Barolo, and property of the same family since 1870. The estate consists of approximately 12 hectares, planted to Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Favorita and the rare red grape Pelaverga. Its portfolio of Barolos includes three single-cru expressions. San Lorenzo, Gramolere and Monvigliero, where this release comes from. The wine can be quite austere when young, but still elegant, distinguished by aromatic complexity and depth of flavour.
