Monprivato, located in the village of Castiglione Falletto, is a historic vineyard, listed in the local land registry archives dating back to 1666. The eponymous wine is only produced in outstanding years, which is the case of this 2000 vintage. Intense scents of strawberries, red cherries, raspberries, black tea, liquorice, nutmeg, cloves, tobacco, wildflowers and a touch of smoke. Medium-bodied, the palate reveals great acidity and silky tannins. Drinking beautifully right now.
