Founded in 1958, the Produttori del Barbaresco is a co-op with 51 members controlling over 100 hectares of premium Nebbiolo vineyards in Barbaresco. In the best vintages, they produce 9 different single-vineyard expressions, including from the 2.3-hectare Asili. The 2008 vintage was aged for 36 months in large oak barrels, followed by another 9 months in bottle. The vintage produced healthy, thick-skinned Nebbiolo grapes, full of extract and high sugar levels, balanced by great acidity.
