Cascina delle Rose Barbaresco Rio Sordo 2020 is a medium-bodied, single-vineyard red wine produced from 100% Nebbiolo grapes in the Barbaresco appellation of Piedmont, northern Italy. Run by pioneering winemaker Giovanna Rizzolio, Cascina delle Rose focuses its modest output on Barbaresco wines from the clay soils of the Rio Sordo vineyard and the calcareous soils of Tre Stelle. Produced from 100% destemmed grapes with spontaneous fermentation, the wines are typically matured for 20-22 months in large oak botti.
