Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2019 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sangiovese grapes in the Montepulciano region of southeast Tuscany. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano wines must be aged for a minimum of 24 months, with at least half of this time being spent in oak. The Avignonesi 2019 was matured in Slavonian oak botti, and French oak barriques and tonneaux for a period of 18 months followed by six months in bottle before release. The result is a plush, velvety wine with notes of ripe cherry, strawberry and currants, along with hints of pomegranate and violet flowers, overlaid with vanilla, sweet spices and liquorice.
