Domaine Jean & Gilles Lafouge is a family-owned Burgundy wine estate covering approximately 7 hectares. This particular cuvée comes from Climat du Val, an Auxey-Duresses Premier Cru vineyard in the Côte de Beaune. Climat du Val faces due south, with limestone predominating over clay, numerous stones in the soil and a steep slope. The wines from this appellation are relatively tannic and age well.
