Arnaldo Caprai is a leading Umbrian wine estate located in Montefalco, best known for its classic expressions of Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG. Established in 1971 by Arnaldo Caprai, a textile entrepreneur, the estate initially covered a 5-hectare site in Montefalco. The 2019 vintage exhibits a firm, peppery, and spicy character on the nose, accompanied by concentrated fruit notes. The palate features rich, earthy flavours with sweet fruit and well-integrated gravelly tannins that enhance the overall intensity. While the finish offers subtle Port-like qualities, the wine maintains its balance and does not overpower with excessive alcohol.
