Re Manfredi is a wine producer based in the foothills of Mount Vulture, an extinct volcano in the Basilicata region. A charming farmhouse is at the centre of the estate, which has more than 120 hectares of Guyot and spurred cordon-trained vines. Based on the tannic and age-worthy Aglianico grape, the wine has aromas of plum, blackberry, blueberry jam, violets and roasted coffee beans. On the palate it is pervasive, intense, soft, with a flavoursome and persistent finish.
