Zyme Harlequin 2011 is a full-bodied blended red wine from the Veneto region of northern Italy. Meaning `yeast` in Ancient Greek, Zyme was founded in the heart of Valpolicella Classico by Celestino Gaspari in 1999. The winery and vineyards are built into an sandstone quarry dating back to the 15th century. Harlequin is the estate`s flagship wine and is made from a blend of about 15 white and red varieties (11 red, four white) from the best plots across the estate. Expect a soft, multilayered red with notes of sweet red berries, spices and a hint of smoky vanilla.
