- (bottled in August of 2008) Good full red. Very sexy aromas of raspberry, mocha, chocolate, licorice and musky spices; I love the stem element here. Silky on entry, then penetrating and powerful in the middle, with intense mineral and spice flavors perfuming the palate but currently dominating the underlying berry fruit. Today this is quite tight, and drier than the young 2007, but the wine's broad, suave tannins and excellent spicy persistence suggest it will repay seven or eight of cellaring.
