Pierrick Bouley Volnay Robardelle 2021 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Premier Cru climat of Robardelle in the Volnay appellation of the Côte de Beaune. Having run his family domaine since 2014, Pierrick Bouley has emerged as one of the leading vignerons in Volnay, producing terroir-driven wines with minimal intervention and minimal added sulphur. "The 2021 Volnay Robardelle 1er Cru comes across as more introverted on the nose compared to the Village Cru, the fruit a little darker with more sous-bois/tobacco scents. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, cranberry and crushed strawberry mixed with black pepper and a slight graphite note towards the finish.
