Alex Gambal Vosne-Romanée 2012 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Vosne-Romanée appellation of the Côte de Nuits. Born to an entrepreneur in Washington DC, Alex Gambal ventured to Burgundy in the 1990s to collaborate with broker Becky Wasserman. His initial involvement led him to establish his own négociant company, a venture he later decided to sell to Jean-Claude Boisset in 2019. One the 2012 Vosne-Romanée, which was produced from old-vine Pinot Noir fruit from within the commune. "Here too the nose is relatively high-toned with appealing spice elements adding breadth to the expressive nose of red currant and sandalwood nuances. The supple and very rich medium-bodied flavours are blessed with plenty of palate coating dry extract that imparts a velvety mouth feel to the balanced and impressively persistent finish.
