Pierre Amiot Clos St Denis 2005 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Clos St Denis in the Morey-St-Denis commune of the Côte de Nuits. Pierre Amiot is a family-owned estate based in Morey-Saint-Denis, run by father-and-son team Jean-Louis and Didier. The domaine consists of 40 parcels of vineyards, of which 85% are located in Morey-Saint-Denis and the remaining 15% in Gevrey-Chambertin. On the 2005 Clos St Denis. "What was an expressive and airy nose from cask has become low key and brooding though it remains impressively deep and still features red, black and violet aromas that continue onto the supple, round and notably sweet flavours that are textured and mouth coating with ample extract that renders the tannins almost invisible on the solidly long and silky finish.
